Description

There are so many places to start, let me find one.

I know what you're thinking, you've seen her name way too many times from me, and I'm sorry; but I figured it was the simplest way to get my point across, which brings me to a second point.

I'm almost elated to say I think I've finally got something down ^___^ I know I really shouldn't say that, since she'll probably look different tomorrow (it's true... u_u), but this one here... ...Well, I'm so proud of it, I'm speechless. Allow me, if you would please, to be a bit selfish and say this is the best one I've done so far! *revel*
Okay...moment over.

Next point. I'm sure you remember that circle/trianlge principle I mentioned earlier? Here it is in work. If you missed it, this is even the same pose (roughly), just...detailed.

I'm sorry my comments are so long, I just have a lot to talk about >>; You're not forced to read all this, f.y.i.

The biggest fear I have (since I believe I can say I've conquered basic poses) is faces. For this one, I was tempted to just leave it blank, beacuse I know that I could make or break it with a face. Luckily, though, it all came out, and well at that, I may add. Her eyes...they're so different from what I've made before, yet they fit so well, neh? I still think I have problems with nose placement, since I'm well aware that at this angle it should probably be flowing ( *flowing* ) off the side of the face; it's either that or I need to move the eye on our left a bit closer in towards it.

Sorry if I kind of went overboard with the creases @_@ I know I did, so I took out a few and dummed a few others down in Photoshop, but still... Kinda like that old Kenshin picture; I think the lines eventually take away from it, but still add to it while they're there. One of those win-lose situations.

I promise you guys that one day, ONE DAY, maybe when I have a girlfriend, I'll be able to explain exactly how her hair works. :XD: I want to say what she does in this picture (and a few of my other works) is logical, but I'm not nearly feminine enough / have long enough hair to be able to state that as fact. The basic idea is that her hair is as such that it's a ponytail that's like... ...You know those Princess Leia buns? Imagine one of those, unbraided, in the back, and the ponytail coming out of it! Make sense? I'm sure it can happen >> ...If not, she's not real (*GASP*) so she can MAKE it happen!

GAH what else is there to say? I could exclaim "I love Kristen," but I'm sure my obsessitivity (not a word) of drawing her would've proved that. Maybe I'm....OC happy? Is she even an Original Character? I mean, sure she's original and she's a character, but she wasn't made as a fan-service for some third-tier anime company to throw into the next season of Naruto. Bah, forget it, allow me to get back to this picture at hand.

Uhm...
That right hand of hers (our left) was a real pain. At first I had it so it was completely against her...thigh, which wasn't really plausable (try it at home!), so I had to correct it a few times.
So lessee, from what I sketched at school to what I fixed at home, I changed:
Her right shoulder (lowered it and pulled it in a bit), her right upper arm (as per the shoulder), kneecaps, oh here's something interesting for you.
Her butt (would you rather me say gleuts?); that seam line on the side of her jeans is pretty close to where it used to be. Would that have worked? Looking at it now, it wouldn't seem so bad; it'd just bring that leg more forward and such... I also, near the end, tried to scootch the defining curve up a little but...but that's not how it works XD Made it look like a bubble it did. So it came back down, and it's fine where it is.

I...I've spoken so long but I don't want to stop ;_; ...Well that was weird, I haven't said something like that for a year. Ah, well, guess I'd better draw the line somewhere.

Sorry if I made you (or you made yourself?) suffer through all of that, feel free to enjoy the picture (if you hadn't already) or comment. Yes, yes, don't forget that part. I like comments. And critiques. Both are welcome with open arms and warm tea.
