Lineart - Leron

I'm aware that good character art does not make a good animation, but it's a good place to start.

I think these designs for Leron came a long way since the last time (which was, of course, the time I thought them up). He wears a suit that enhances the body's strength and speed, and the suit really consists of those bulbous leg and arm things and the chest piece. I couldn't really think of what to do for his thighs but I know I needed to do something, so I re-used the same concept from his shoulders, which is some kind of compression material that goes down until the rings.
Past that, where the lines are over the body, is kind of like a wooly, thick corduroy.

I think half the inspiration for this design came from the anime Last Exile. At least, I think that's where the corduroy comes from. Once you look at it like that, you start to picture a steam-punkery to the guy.

In this story Leron's a thief of sorts. That bag on the back of his belt is the goods. At first I wanted it (some kind of golden idol thing) to be shown off in just a cage of leather straps back there, but I figured it'd be easier and a bit more reasonable to have it bagged.
